The MODULAR Universal formwork (The Modular)
The MODULAR universal formwork is, worldwide, one of the most widely used and successful systems of formwork.
It is the most diverse formwork system due to its unique choice of different element heights and widths. For example for the element height of 125 cm alone there are widths of 100, 75, 60, 50, 45, 43, 40, 37, 35, 33, 30, 25, 24, 20, 15, 12 and 10 cm as well as compensating elements of 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 cm. The formwork can therefore be adjusted to an 1 cm exactness to the required architecture. Demanding on-site extra measurement adjustments are no longer necessary which saves time, material and effort. Lying and standing elements are easily compatible. A wide range of accessories (hinge corners, angle corner etc.) are helpful additions to the portfolio.
The elements withstand fresh concrete pressure of 35 kN/m², which is sufficient for most applications at medium concreting height; the GE-large elements can take up to 60 kN/m².
The provided formwork planning software PASCHAL-PLAN light runs on any PC. It is available in a number of languages and is one of the most mature programs on the market. It is supplied by PLANITEC (Steinach, Germany).
Worldwide the MODULAR are mainly used for foundations, crane-less construction sites, shafts, staircases, traverses, supports, girders and pre-fabricated concrete parts as well in all those places where standard formwork systems are not exact enough e.g. for finely stepped or angled components etc. In most other parts of the world they are used as affordable, standard wall formwork for plant, industrial and residential structures; skyscrapers have been built with the MODULAR as well.
The MODULAR is a 15 mm thick, 11-layer plywood piece, suitable for nailing and made from sustainable Finnish birch plywood. The frame consists of a solid, high-quality steel mesh frame which is easy to clean and to maintain.
It is not unusual that the PANELS are still fully functional after 25 years and after thousands of construction site assignments – as well as some renovation work. The investment in a brand product has more than paid off for those companies.
The MODULAR from PASCHAL is one of the best known formwork systems worldwide and is successful in more than 40 countries. The Modular formwork is made of high quality steel frame and birch plywood famous for its durability.
